This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through freelancestud.io for the Freelance Studio WordPress plugin (“Service”) operated by Freelance Studio Ltd Co..

1. Free Trial

We offer a 14-day free trial of Freelance Studio Pro with full access to all premium features. No credit card or payment information is required to start the trial.

The trial is designed to give you ample time to evaluate the plugin and determine whether it meets your needs before committing to a paid subscription. At the end of the trial, your account will automatically revert to the free plan unless you choose to subscribe.

2. Subscription Refund Policy

Because we provide a full-featured, no-obligation free trial, all subscription payments are generally non-refundable. We believe the trial period provides a fair opportunity to evaluate the Service before making a purchase.

However, we understand that exceptional circumstances arise. We will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis in the following situations:

  • Duplicate charges: If you were accidentally charged more than once for the same subscription period, we will refund the duplicate charge in full.
  • Technical inability to use the Service: If a verified technical issue on our end prevents you from using the plugin and we are unable to resolve it within a reasonable timeframe, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund.
  • Billing errors: If you were charged after canceling your subscription before the renewal date, we will issue a full refund for the erroneous charge.
  • First-time purchase within 7 days: If you subscribe for the first time and request a refund within 7 days of your initial payment, we will review your request and may issue a refund at our discretion, provided you have not already used the trial.
3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will generally not be issued in the following cases:

  • Change of mind after the 7-day window or after using the trial period
  • Failure to cancel before a renewal date (you may cancel at any time to prevent future charges)
  • Dissatisfaction with features that were available for evaluation during the free trial
  • Issues caused by third-party software, hosting environments, plugin conflicts, or server configurations outside our control
  • Temporary service interruptions or downtime
  • Unused subscription time remaining after voluntary cancellation (your access continues through the end of the billing period)
4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us with the following information:

  • Your name and the email address associated with your account
  • Your license key or order number
  • The date of the charge in question
  • A brief explanation of the reason for your request

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 5 business days. If a refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your payment provider.

5. Cancellation vs. Refund

Canceling your subscription and requesting a refund are two different actions:

Cancellation stops future billing. You retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free plan. Your data remains in your WordPress database and is not affected.

A refund is a return of a payment already made. If a refund is issued, your Pro access may be revoked immediately, and your account will revert to the free plan.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting us. Cancellation does not automatically trigger a refund.

6. Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are billed as a single payment for a 12-month period. The same refund policy applies. If a refund is approved for an annual subscription, the refund amount may be prorated based on the number of months remaining, at our discretion.

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving billing issues promptly and fairly.

Initiating a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue with us may result in suspension of your account and license.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will be communicated through our website or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
