Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using freelancestud.io and the Freelance Studio plugin (“Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
“Service” refers to the Freelance Studio WordPress plugin and the freelancestud.io website, including all features, updates, and related documentation.
“User,” “you,” or “your” refers to any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Service.
“We,” “us,” or “our” refers to Freelance Studio Ltd Co., the developer and operator of Freelance Studio.
“Subscription” refers to a paid plan (monthly or annual) that grants access to premium features of the Service.
2. Account and Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. License and Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Freelance Studio plugin on WordPress websites that you own or operate.
You may not sublicense, resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works based on the Service. You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Service.
4. Free and Pro Plans
Freelance Studio offers a free plan with limited features and usage caps, and a paid Pro plan with full access to all features. The specific limits and features of each plan are described on our website and within the plugin.
We reserve the right to modify the features, limits, or pricing of any plan at any time. Changes to pricing will not affect your current billing period but will apply upon renewal. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes.
5. Payments and Billing
Pro plan subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) at the rates displayed at the time of purchase. All fees are quoted in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
Payment is processed through our authorized payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Refund Policy: We offer a 14-day free trial for new users. Because you can try the full Service before paying, all subscription payments are non-refundable. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at admin@freelancestud.io.
6. Free Trial
New users may be eligible for a 14-day free trial of the Pro plan. No payment information is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, your account will revert to the free plan unless you subscribe to a paid plan.
7. Cancellation and Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to Pro features until the end of that period.
Upon cancellation or expiration, your account will revert to the free plan. Your data will remain in your WordPress database and will not be deleted by us. You may continue using the free version of the plugin.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Service in a manner that could harm us or other users.
8. Data Ownership and Privacy
Freelance Studio is a self-hosted WordPress plugin. All business data you create using the Service (clients, invoices, projects, contracts, etc.) is stored in your own WordPress database on your own server. We do not have access to your business data.
We may collect limited usage data (such as plugin activation, deactivation, and feature usage) through our licensing partner, Freemius, to improve the Service. This data does not include your business data, client information, or financial records.

9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all code, design, documentation, trademarks, and content, is owned by Freelance Studio Ltd. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Your subscription grants a license to use the Service. It does not transfer any ownership rights. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.
10. Third-Party Integrations
The Service may integrate with third-party services such as Google Calendar, Google Meet, and payment processors. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements or that any defects will be corrected.
You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your WordPress site and database. We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from server failures, plugin conflicts, or user error.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FREELANCE STUDIO LTD. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Freelance Studio Ltd., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
14. Modifications to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide notice through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue binding arbitration or litigation in the courts of the State of Georgia.
16. General Provisions
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Freelance Studio Ltd. regarding the Service.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
